Hydraulic suspension systems

Together with Creuat, Hydra Parts develops shock absorbers and complete hydraulic suspension systems to address specific requirements that standard suspension systems or components cannot meet.

We operate on an ‘open source’ basis, which means that we share our knowledge and experience with our clients. On top of that, we will support you in the development, design, and production of prototypes. When entering into series production, we will provide our accumulators and damping modules and you are free to source the other system components from your preferred suppliers.

If there is anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to send a message to engineering@hydraparts.be or use our contact form. We’re happy to help!

I.S.S. – Integral Suspension System

  • ISS stands for Integral Suspension System, and is designed to replace all suspension elements such as springs, shock absorbers, and anti-roll bars. It’s built with passive components that have instanteneous reactions.

  • ISS is comprised of four actuators connected to a central device via hydraulic hoses. The system is designed to provide optimal spring and damper rates for each body movement such as roll, pitch, and vertical, while providing a low stiffness for axle-crossing movements. It maximises vehicle stability and grip without impairing comfort.

  • ISS is a passive system that can incorporate height control to handle load changes or speed/height settings. It provides the optimal suspension configuration possible with passive components.

R.C.S.Roll Control System

  • RCS stands for Roll Control System, and is designed to replace the two conventional dampers installed in vehicle axle suspension.

  • The RCS is a single device comprised of two shock absorbers connected to a central device via hydraulic hoses. The system is designed to provide optimal damper rates for both vertical and roll movements. The RCS system is a passive, maintenance-free damping system that is adapted to the vehicle axis, its load, the roll inertia, and the original spring media. This system produces different damper forces optimised for vertical and roll movements.

  • The RCS is a cost-effective, per-axis solution that addresses roll stability problems on vehicles that can’t be retrofitted with hydraulic actuators.
